August 25, 2004
Glen Ellyn, IL — Rick Church, vice president of associations for CM Services, Inc. The Association Partnership Company ® was elected president of the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC) at IAAMC's Summer Meeting in Minneapolis , Minnesota.
Church has served as a member of IAAMC's Board of Directors since 2000 and as president-elect since 2003. During Church's time on the IAAMC Board of Directors, the association has enjoyed more than a 50-percent increase in membership, become accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to develop standards for the association management industry, developed an association management company accreditation program recognizing quality association management companies, and begun steps to unify the association management company industry.
"Certainly through the development of our standard and accreditation program, IAAMC has done and is doing its part to raise the quality level of association management companies," Church told attendees. In fact, as of August 1, 2005 , all IAAMC member companies will have to self-attest that they meet or exceed a certain level of minimum criteria to be a regular member of the association.
"As we raise the quality bar for individual association management companies, we increase the respect and reputation of our industry," he added.
Judy Keel, IAAMC Executive Vice President, added, “ Rick's commitment to IAAMC and the association management company industry demonstrate the partnership philosophy he and his company live by. ”
