CM Services Employee Partner Awarded Certification in Exhibition Management
CM Services, Inc., the Association Partnership Company®, is proud to announce that Maria Prior, an employee partner for five years, was awarded Certification in Exhibition Management (CEM) by the International Association for Exhibition Management (IAEM). Certification is awarded after the successful completion of a rigorous three-year program which Prior accomplished in two and a half years. The award was presented at IAEM’s Annual Meeting and Awards presentation on November 28th in San Diego, California.
Prior is Sales and Operations Manager for FENCETECH, the Annual Trade Show and Exhibition of the American Fence Association, and DECKTECH, the Annual Exhibition of the Deck & Railing Industry, both sponsored by the American Fence Association (AFA). AFA is an association partner of CM Services, Inc. In 2005 FENCETECH was recognized by Tradeshow Week Fastest 50, a distinction awarded to the 50 fastest growing exhibitions in the US and Canada.
Prior also serves as Operations Manager for Hardscape North America, sponsored by the Brick Industry Association and the National Concrete Masonry Association. Hardscape North America is managed by the Trade Show Partnership Company, a sister company to CM Services, Inc.
“CM Services was generous in allowing me to take CEM classes offsite, which offered the benefits of small group study and classes, exercises in problem solving and crisis management, and more networking,” said Prior.
One of the strengths of the program, she said, is its recognition of the differences between various groups and the necessity for Trade Show Managers and other staff to customize to meet specific needs.
